Uimakoulun ohjeet

Järjestämme Kuntolaakson uimahallissa uimakouluja 5-10 -vuotiaille sekä Vesipeuhua 3-6 -vuotiaille. Uimakoulujen ikäraja on 5 vuotta, Vesipeuhun 3 vuotta.

Ensimmäisellä opetuskerralla kokoontuminen Kuntolaakson aulassa 15 minuuttia ennen opetuksen alkua. Aulahenkilö on uimakoululaisia ja heidän saattajiaan vastassa ja tunnistat hänet uimaseuran paidasta. Uimakoululaisen saattajalle jaetaan harjoitusvuorokortti. Seuraavilla harjoituskerroilla saapuminen uimakouluun tapahtuu omatoimisesti.

Harjoitusvuorokorttia kassalla näyttämällä saat rannekkeen, millä pääsee puku – ja pesutiloihin. Vaatteiden vaihto tapahtuu ryhmäpukutilassa, jossa uimakoululaiselle valitaan oma vapaa kaappi.

Swimming School Instructions

We organize swimming schools for children aged 5-10 and "Vesipeuhu - Family Swimming" for 3-6-year-olds at the Kuntolaakso swimming hall. The age limit for swimming schools is 5 years, and for "Vesipeuhu," it is 3 years. The child must meet the required age by the time of the swimming school. To participate in the course, the child must be able to function in a group without a guardian. In "Vesipeuhu," the child participates with a safe adult. The swimming schools take place in the children's and youth pools of the swimming hall.

If you are unsure about the appropriate group/child's skill level, please contact us before registering. If the child has any specific medical condition or other relevant information, please inform us in the "Additional Information" section of the registration form.

The swimming school participant must understand the Finnish language. If you suspect that the child does not yet understand Finnish instructions well enough, please contact us before registering.

General Instructions (Effective from January 1, 2024)

In the future, the guardian/escort of the swimming school participant is responsible for the child in dressing and shower facilities. The swimming club is responsible for the coaching/practice time.

According to the Kuopio city sports facility usage and order rules, a customer under 10 years old must have a guardian over 15 years old. Pre-school-aged children can enter dressing and shower facilities according to the gender of their escort. School-aged children use dressing and shower facilities according to their own gender.

On the first lesson, assemble in the Kuntolaakso lobby 15 minutes before the start of the lesson. The escort of the swimming school participant will be provided with a practice day card. On subsequent practice days, arrival at the swimming school is done independently.

By showing the practice day card at the counter, you will receive a wristband, which grants access to dressing and shower facilities. Change of clothes takes place in the group dressing room, where the swimming school participant is assigned a free locker.

In dressing and shower facilities, adhere to the swimming hall's rules. Shower thoroughly without a swimsuit.

The escort moves around the dressing facilities barefoot or uses their own indoor shoes, such as sandals. Do not use the swimming hall's shoe protectors.

Gather for the swimming school in front of the children's pool, next to the cold-water pool, at the start time of the swimming school. The swimming instructor will come to the gathering place to meet the participants and take attendance.

Swimming instruction concludes at the steps of the children's pool. The escort must be there to pick up the swimming school participant when the lesson ends.

The escort can swim only if they have separately paid the swimming hall entrance fee at the counter. The swimming school fee includes the entrance of the swimming school participant and the instruction.

Return the practice day card to the swimming instructor on the last lesson. If the child is not present on the last lesson, you can return the card to the Swimming Club's mailbox (viewed from the front door, on the left exterior wall).
